Pay for what you ship
We estimate each product's weight (including packaging where known) and add it up for your order. Heavier parcels cost more to send. Orders with non-clothing items may qualify for a shipping reduction at checkout.
Royal Mail / Parcelforce with Tracking
All orders are shipped via Royal Mail or Parcelforce with full tracking. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched. Estimated delivery: 5–10 business days.
Order Processing
When We Order From Retailers
After you checkout, we batch your order with others and purchase from UK retailers on fixed processing days — every Monday and Thursday. If a scheduled day falls on a UK bank holiday, we process on the next working day instead.

IOSS Registered — VAT Pre-Pay Optional
babydirect is IOSS registered, so at checkout you can choose to pre-pay your local VAT on eligible orders before your parcel is sent from the UK to Malta or Cyprus.
- • Your choice at checkout — Tick to pre-pay your destination VAT (Malta or Cyprus) and there's no separate VAT charge to pay on delivery.
- • Pre-paid through IOSS — When you opt in, we declare and pre-pay the VAT through the EU Import One-Stop Shop scheme.
- • Smoother delivery — With VAT pre-paid, parcels are generally sent directly to you without being held by customs for VAT collection.
- • If you don't pre-pay — Your local postal or customs authority will collect the VAT (and may add a handling fee) when the parcel arrives.
